Subject	Timing belt help!!

Message	I am about to take my timing belt off and would like to know if it slipped I know it would take for ever to make all the lines on timing belt match .So here is the question if I align all the dots in the back plate with the dots on cams sprockets and the crank and then count the cogs on the belt between the cam sprockets and if it turns out to be 24 on both sides that mean that it did not slipp sorry don't know how else to explain any help would great . Thank you
